“ Chifa Peru is a stunning example of ethnic cuisine. The pricing is moderate on most of the entrees, but not expensive. My partner and I stopped here for a date night dinner before our movie. Four out of five stars for the atmosphere, but that is only because they just opened, so business is slow, so it was kind of quiet. I really enjoyed that the food was top quality and fresh, but the dining room didn't feel stuffy. Casual-nice clothes were plenty sufficient. They start you off with a complementary snack of some kind of air fried corn while you wait for your food. He ordered the pork fried rice. The pork was delightfully tender and juicy, and they cut it into good size pieces without it being too large to scoop. I ordered the Beef Heart Skewers, which come in spicy, mildly spicy and not spicy. I ordered the mildly spicy and it was just the right amount of heat to eat comfortably. The flavor was rich and the meat was cooked perfectly tender and juicy. I also ordered the Cassava Fries, with came with a lovely sauce, which I believe was sour cream, jalapenos, cilantro and lime. It was moderately spicy, but went well with the fries as cassava is fairly starchy and will cut a lot of the flavor. We finished off our meal with a piece of Flan. All I can say is wow. I have not had flan as delicious as that since my coworker from Venezuela made me one! When we received our check, they give you little complementary soursop fruit hard candies. Overall an incredible experience. I will done here again in the future. ”

“ BEST FLAVOR RESTAURANT IN SCRANTON… This place is absolutely exquisite in flavor; we walked in it really expecting much but WOW! we were surprised, our party of 8 went on Sunday around 3 pm, the service is phenomenal, very friendly people, we had the pleasure to meet the manager and he was amazing at introducing the business and making us feel super welcome; on the menu side we order 2 whole roasted chicken, 2 chicken rise and noodles, the dishes came with french fries ( they were crunchy and fresh) the chicken was really well roasted and good meaty, the salad and the sauce they put on the side are pretty good. I can’t say enough on how good this restaurant is, really amazing experience to have in Scranton. I dare you to try them and join me with my statement. ”

“ Literally the best quality food and best tasting of all ethnicities in the city. I would travel for miles and miles to eat here if I didn't live here. 10 out 10 hands down!! The service is even better. They made our sangria right there, fresh, chopped all the fruits and poured all the liquor & wine right in front of us. Do not miss out on the chance to experience the atmosphere, the service, and the food!! ”

“ The most amazing food we’ve had in a long time. We’ve never had this type of food before, but the fish that I ordered was amazing with delicious sauce and my wife had a poke bowl. Staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is very nice also we also enjoyed the red corn drink which was absolutely amazing. We are here in the locality for a few days and we intend eating here again very very soon. ”

“ Had an incredible experience at Chifa Peru! Someone who lived in Peru for 2 years and was in town for the holidays, to see this was a gift. Great portion sizes. Fantastic prices and very speedy service. Highly recommend their yuca frita and the lomo saltado lunch special. When the food came out I was so taken aback that I forgot to take a photo for this review because the food was so good. Will definitely be back ”

“ WOW! My husband noticed this restaurant and picked up a menu. Honestly, I was extremely hesitant for a few reasons and the prices were a bit high. Nothing on the menu really seemed to catch my eye but we decided to try it out after all. Much to my surprise the food was delicious!! While I felt the rice, salad, and French fries portion could have been a bit more, we all left the table satisfied. We’re a family of 4, so we ordered 2 of the whole chicken with French fries and salad, and 1 order of the beef with mix vegetables and white rice. The food came with a bunch of the green spicy sauce(which is delicious and spicy indeed) that others have mentioned and 2 clear sauces(which we did not use). I can honestly say that everything was delicious ESPECIALLY the beef with mix vegetables. As a heads up, The mix vegetables included mushroom so if you’re allergic or do not like mushrooms maybe ask to hold off on them(you’re welcome!). We will order from this restaurant again. Oh and the staff was also very kind! I give 5 ⭐! ”
